Ken Fulk

    For Mayor of Allen, TX

“As a long time resident and community volunteer in Allen, I would be honored and privileged to be the Mayor for Allen.  It is critical during this leadership transition, as term limits impact our leadership on City Council, that we have a steady hand at the helm to help guide the city forward in a positive direction. We need to communicate better with our citizens and work to secure projects for remaining undeveloped areas that improve both quality of life and economic prosperity within our community. We also need to revitalize those areas of our city that are aging.”

    Vision, Values & Opportunities

VISION: Allen is a City where deep roots are valued and prudent growth is welcomed. The pace and type of growth in this last phase of build-out must be managed wisely while revitalizing maturing areas within the City.

VALUES:   Fiscal Responsibility is a core value for Ken.  He understands that effective decision-making does not occur in a vacuum. He can be trusted to listen to the concerns and views from all citizens and combine that input with his years of experience as a former Council member, longtime resident, businessman and community volunteer to best inform his decisions. Rather than approach each issue with a predetermined answer, Ken will listen and learn before he acts.

    OPPORTUNITIES:

Positive Culture – Work to regain the public trust in our City government and actively create and support a culture and environment that embraces the diversity and values of all residents.

Revitalization of our Downtown – Work with concerned citizens, city staff, council and successful developers to develop a detailed vision of what is desired for our downtown area and put in place measures that help make this a reality.

Comprehensive Development Review – Ensure citizens are informed well in advance of all significant future development so that their input can be introduced into the process sooner. Ensure there is a thorough review process prior to approval of new developments with appropriate citizen engagement.

Enhance Quality of Life – Focus on excellence in our public safety, parks and recreation, and Library services programs for all ages while seeking to develop partnerships with educational, community, and civic organizations.

The Experienced Leadership Our City Needs Right Now
